Summer is Coming!

This is Charlotte by Children's Corner patterns. We added a 1" band to the bottom of the shorts and also trimmed them out with the hot pink looped piping. The buttons are the medium new FUN buttons.

Instead of a button at the top I made the button hole and attached my tie where the button should have been, pulled them through the button hole and tied the bow!

 "Fun in Sun!"

Top Left:  Boxers made from the "Little Jammies Pattern" by Favorite Things. The drawstring is made from the seahorse fabric behind them, soon to come the top out off the sea horses also! The top and pants are trimmed with the turquoise fringe.

Bottom Left: Martha's Appliqué jumper with the ribbon fish appliqué. Both are found in her Appliqué book. Dress is made with orange seersucker with orange and hot pink bubble novelty fabric for the ruffle and the fish appliqué. It takes 2 yards of grosgrain ribbon to do both shoulders. Ribbons are used instead of buttons.

Really Sweet!

Bottom Right: Heather-Shelly Pattern by Yvonne Denise designs. This pattern is so versatile and multi-sized.

The fabric is in the novelty prints and the raspberry pique used for the straps add a great summer contrast. This outfit has been pleated for smocking, we suggest a simple geometric!

Sundress Bishops!

Imported Swiss Hemstitched Cotton and Spanish Lace Trim.

What a beautiful dress for those Beach Pictures!

Use your bishop pattern! It has the curve cut into the pattern so that your dress will not sag in the center front or back!

Cut front and backs out on fold.

Pleat both pieces separately.

Tie fronts and backs using this chart.

Sizes 1-2 : 7"

Sizes 3-4 : 7 3/4"

Sizes 5-6 : 8 1/2"

Sizes 7-8 : 9"

Straps are cut cross grain 1 3/4" wide by the 45" long. Run thru bias maker to fold in edges evenly. Fold in half evenly and center straps on center of fronts and backs and top stitch on. Finish top stitching both ends to secure entire strap.

*This ensemble was made up using the size 8 pattern

We did pipe the entire top, you can't find that kind of workman ship in any store bought ensemble. The slits weren't that hard to pipe, you need to clip out a "V" instead of just clip.

We also used 3/4" covered buttons for the back and covered them with the yellow.

Coral Reef Fun!!!

Are you ready for the Beach? We are! , sorry about all you snow bunnies, you can come visit!!

This wonderful outfit was made from the new "Becky" pattern from Children's Corner

This  Coral Reef Fish fabric is very limited! But what a great one! The shorts were made in the moda yellow dots. There is a great bright pink also. Both colors go great with this Fish fabric. Check page 2 of the novelty fabrics to see the pink color.

 Just for Boys

Creations By Michie'  Diaper Shirt & Shorts

Adorable !   This is a size 18mo. A Great old fashion style!

Shirt fabric is "Summer Sailor" on the 3rd page of novelty prints.

Shorts are made with 1/16"pima gingham 60" wide on Gingham fabrics page

3/8" buttons to cover can be found on the button page.

The shirt is piped in the yellow shirt fabric.

If you use 60" wide fabric, only 1/2yd is needed for shorts and collar instead of  2/3yds.

What a easy pattern!  Coming soon another view of this pattern with the "new airplanes" and sunwashed chambray.        Thanks  Jo

Another version of this Great Michie' Pattern

The pearl buttons dress this version up a bit.

                All Boy!!!

Creations by Michie

Pattern #113

Comes in sizes 2-5

Fabric: Brown Glenn Plaid, 100% pima cotton

Collar: Hand embroidered hand towel, Madeira embroidered frogs

This cute Jumper was made using Children's Corner "Lucy" pattern and the "Cat Tails" pattern from Fabric Cafe` The Blouse pattern (not included in jumper pattern) was altered to have a simple bias ruffle collar.

To make this collar,  cut a 27" long by 3" wide bias strip. Fold strip to measure 27" by

1 1/2" and seam up the ends. Now run two gathering threads across the un finished edge and draw up to fit the neck from center back to center back. I like to pipe everything , and this whipped stitch purple piping just did the job!

Remember a scant 1/4" bias at the neck and the arms are the prettiest!!

The lime is pique

The Pattern is Becky from Children's Corner

Buzz- Buzz-Buzz!

Here's another cutie!

"Taylor"

"Taylor" a new pattern from Children's Corner WELL! I changed it a bit! The pattern has a lengthen line which I cut and added a 1/4" seam allowance and made the outfit two-toned. They made it easy for you to do, isn't it great!

Pique' Fabrics

The fabric is the new pique group Bee's and Dots. Piping is the whipped stitched black and don't forget the baby rick rack.

Can't forget the Bee Buttons!

Instead of snaps I used buttons and buttonholes to close the bottom! This pattern worked up really fast and EASY! Even with the piping everywhere.

"Little Lambs"

Rosa just finished this adorable outfit for her newest grandbaby. She chose the blue because of the baby's blue eyes. The pattern is :

Miche Mooney's

"Heirloom Embroidery"

The fabric is:

Lambs on Blue

Pique' Fabrics

and the yoke was of white pima fine wale pique'. The Swiss eyelet is from Bear Threads, we have it in stock at the store. Kits will be available upon request. This outfit is shown in the 6 months size.
